These caps used to crack due to manufacturers flaw. The new piece that the screws go through is reinforced and fixed the solenoid failure problems. However they aren’t made anymore from my understanding and almost impossible to find. Cap may not be the technical term it’s my definition. If any Gog experts are hanging around I’m sure they can articulate this better than I can.Comment

Ah, I was hoping that it was a part that could still be sourced. I am well aware of the original flaw with the solenoid cap. I have teched quite a few, and have encountered several that came "pre cracked" straight out of the box when they were brand spanking new.
