    Montneel z1 rental markers

I have 33 montneel Z-1 rentals for sale. The bodies are anodized red. Most are in good shape. Most have angle feednecks. I will sort thru and pick the nicest ones. They haven't been used in over 15 years. Right now I have no way to test for leaks, only have hpa and tanks are getting hydro'd. Price is 60.00 each (includes 16.95 postal priority and 3.00 paypal) so that's 40.00 for marker. If you are interested in more we can make a deal.

I figure even if I do have one, it is almost certainly not as nice as these ones. These look to be in great shape for something that was used as a rental.

How do they do with HPA?

Might be in for 2 or 3 ...

I just picked up two. Never owned a z1 rental. We will see how they do.

These are some of the best, if not the best, markers on co2.

They at best will shoot low, worst not cycle

Wow! Nice score! HPA might be tricky with these, pretty much made for CO2. At one point I thing you could a Winter or Summer Valve for these....One had a lil better luck with HPA than the other . Its been awhile, so I have a hard time remembering...

So i picked one of these up, and got it today. I figured what the hell, and threw a tank on it (HPA with ~1,000 PSI) to see what would happen. It aired up with no leaks, and dry fired. I went through it to clean out the old paint and lube it up. I replaced no o-rings just as a goof. Why replace what's not broken? What I can only assume was the rear-travel bumper in the sight-rail had rotted away in to goo, so I replaced it with an o-ring behind the striker/hammer. I also replaced the ball detent springs, as they rusted away into bits and pieces, with springs from a dead pen. Aired it up again, still no leaks, and dry fired just fine. Shooting paint out of it on HPA didn't go so well. With crap paint and on HPA it only got to 150~200 FPS, but that's no surprise on a marker designed for CO2 (probably even better on liquid CO2).
        I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

Shipped out 7 so far. Have about 14 left that dry fire and in decent shape. Rest won't release hammer when trigger is pulled.

Bought three of these. All had a W stamp on the valves indicating liquid CO2 winter valves. The valve would need a G stamp to go HPA. Not likely in this batch. Forward bolts are aluminum but not starfire. Have found at least 2 different mainsprings. Not wear but different coil count. I have not gauged them yet. The o-ring data here on some mcarterbrown posts doesn't seem right as far as industrial standards are concerned so I have not ordered or changed them yet. One rental has aired up without leaks on original seals. I just got a new Chrony Beta in the mail so I will probably test this weekend as I have siphon tanks. These markers absolutely need cleaning. There is almost no info on these other than a few stamp size pictures on the web of the mega-Z and clones. Here is the start of a blog ref that I am making. It lacks the o-rings on the fastening screws which protect from stripping but I need to test as they are flattened and distorted. It may still help on reassembly at its current state. Cup seals all look OK so far. Only the dampener, part 8 has turned to mush on all markers. These markers are in pretty good shape overall and worth buying.

Mine is holding air no problem, (not cycling with HPA, not surprised though) but it'll be a bit before have a chance to get my siphon tank filled. For valve "o" rings and the hammer "o" ring Part #14 on the diagram, They appear to be #015 "o" rings? Inside the valve there is a #010. Not sure about the "o" rings on the cup seal yet, I just soaked them in oil and they hold air, but I haven't replaced them.

How does switching to HPA cause issues? I thought you could switch between them without issues on older markers?
