PE FR barrel back Electric Blue

I bought this a while back was looking for a teal one but ended up with electric blue. Couldn't find what I needed so I want another direction. Taking a long shot and I'll put it here before I put it on Ebaaaa.

A great thing about these is that you can get an adapter to run XL inserts.

Ok, so I'll ask my dumb questions here. Maybe someone else is as unknowledgeable as I and will learn something too.

I will make a leap and assume this Planet Eclipse FR barrel will fit an etha3. Correct?

The barrels I've seen (on my Worr Autococker Trilogy and online) seem to consist of two pieces - one screws into the receiver and is marked w/ the diameter, and the second section might have holes drilled to decrease the noise and vent some air. Both sections are about the same length. Your blue bbl has one vented section and an adapter. Which piece screws into the gun? The short section, and the 3 oval ports are toward the muzzle?

I've read the term 'freak' with respect to barrels. What does this mean?

What are XL inserts? I'd guess these determine the bbl diameter and if the paintballs will roll out or are retained by the barrel until blown out by the air. I know the latter fit is necessary for better accuracy.

Does another barrel extension go on the threaded end of the blue section w/ the ports? Do these ports serve as a muzzle brake?

The “three oval ports” here is the barrel back (the part that screws into the marker), the barrel front would screw into that. The “Freak” back indicates that it takes “freak inserts” that come in different diameters to account for different ball sizes, as you guessed. These inserts will also block those giant gaping “ports.”

I believe the Freak XL is just a long version of the Freak system… but I’m not 100% on that, I’ve never used it.

I’m sure someone else will chime in with a better answer and can answer your other questions too.

This a barrel back for the Planet Eclipse Shaft 4 system. It was OE on Etha2 , Gtek 170 ect. So Rather than being a defined size back it uses the freak Jr insert with the stock PE tip.All you have to do is slide in the individual little sizing pipe to get the correct bore. The freak XL is a longer 8-in version so you have a longer control bore section. If you look up Gog freak barrel kit on YouTube you can see how it works.
