Price Drop. $300 pp'd & shipped. Got it on eBay too, but no takers yet. With all the fees on there, I'm not surprised.
This is a Sterling pump gun with a community-made Aluminum T2 Autococker-threaded bolt tube and custom-built Sterling drive receiver. If you look at the photos, you'll see what I mean. I bought the receiver parts off Facebook maybe... a year ago? I don't recall. I then went about building up what I planned would be my dream Sterling. I've always wanted an AC-threaded Sterling.
Long story short, after using it on the field... Meh. It wasn't bad, per-se. It was just my third favorite pump gun I own. And being third favorite, I can't justify hanging on to something I know I will use maybe two, three times tops. It should go to someone who can appreciate it, and also maybe improve on it. At the least, you have something quite rare, even in the realm of Sterlings, which aren't a dime a dozen in themselves.
OK, the details. The receiver I have described. It has some scuff marks from normal use. Being raw aluminum, that is to be expected. The barrel comes with it. A 14" J&J. Not a bad barrel, but not what I'd use on it myself. But something to get you started at least. The grip frame is from Bacci's website, all the way. The paint on the grip frame is peeled a bit in places, as shown in the photos. None of these cosmetic details detract at all from the gun's working. The bolt is a TechT CCM T2 Hush bolt. The o-rings were snug before field use, but are much softer now.
The pump system is entirely my own hodge-podge build. It uses an Empire Sniper pump mount block, arms, and sled. The pin is from an old Spyder Xtra and is something I'd definitely look into replacing or re-doing. When I used this gun on the field, that was the only problem I had with it. The pin slips out of the sled if pumped rapidly or carelessly and so the bolt is left unattached. The pump handle itself is one of two options, both included. Either the WGP 3d printed handle on it, which works fine for me, and has a hole drilled so you can adjust the hammer tension with the included allen head screwdriver (which alone cost 15 bucks on Amazon - scandalous!). Or there is my first plan, which was an Empire pump handle. It wasn't as smooth to use as I hoped, so I switched to the 3d printed handle and went with it. But if you want to fiddle with it, maybe the Empire handle is more your style. You got the option.
There are a few idiot marks on the arms, including under that electrical tape that is on the primary pump rod (as seen in the photos). The pump handle was a pain to remove to adjust spring tension, and thus some wrench marks I now regret. But I put that bigger hole in the pump handle front so I could adjust from the outside and took away that issue. The small hole in the front of the pump handle was for a 10 pence I used as a pump face cover (British Sterling, get it?). It is sentimental and stays with me.
Gun uses a CP On/Off ASA that works great. It was used when it came to me as I was trying to keep the cost of this project from going higher and higher. So it has a few scuffs on it too that do not affect function.
Speaking of function, the gun shoots pretty well. I chronoed and adjusted and chronoed again, and it shoots at approx 260 fps with little variation. It could get better with maybe a slightly stiffer spring. I went with the spring I got when I bought the receiver.
Final two details, both things I just can't see myself using anymore, and figured someone on here would appreciate. The gun comes with a Winchester hopper, flip-top modified by me. Works fine, but I tend to use the new GOG 100 round hopper more. This Winny has just been collecting dust. And the 13c tank, dated 10/17, which also has just been collecting dust since I find myself shooting more than it can hold. It was full when I put it on the gun and shot it empty so I could be ready to ship. I estimate I got 350 to 400 shots of good full strength, easily.
Sorry, I talk a lot I guess. This one had a lot of work put into it and I want you to know what you are getting. All told, I probably put over $500 into this gun, not including the hopper and the tank I'm including. It was a labor of love, as well as full of lessons.
Price I'm asking is $300 firm. I pay PP fees and shipping, tyd. No offers entertained at this time. And no, I will not part anything out and adjust the price. Everything mentioned is included. You pay, I ship, I send you the tracking number. Thanks
Sorry, I appear to be too dumb to figure out how to imbed photos.
