I personally think this is a lot of talk. I've been around a long time, when I hear a lot of big talk of shots per 12 gram I'm always skeptical. Again, I want to know what your last shot fps is at. I can say I get 35 shots out of a 12gram but the last 10 will be garbage fps. Even when I live in S.C.. CA 20 GOOD shots out of a 12gram was great. So tell me what your last shot is. I use only Crossman CO2. I think a lot of you are pretending to be something you are not, which is someone that has extensive experience in how stock guns operate. I'm telling you now, I actually do. I worked for Carter Machine in the 90's. So maybe the guy that gets a lot more shots out of his mini buzzard does get 35 shots out of it, it's possible because of the shorter barrel. But I still want to know what the last shot chronos at.
Everyone on these forums are not used to talking to people who have deep experience in these matters so I'm not afraid of what ever type of BS you want to throw at me, but physics haven't changed in 20 years. Most of this is all just BS talk. My gun has a 11" SS barrel, so it's not the most efficient, to be sure. But it is also the gun Glen Forrester (sp?) said was the most accurate gun he'd ever shot. Which means the shot to shot FPS was very close to each other.
I built a regulator onto the back of a BBA way back when and noticed no difference (it was a WorrGame reg) in shot efficiency.
So tell me what the last FPS shot is at 35. I don't care about the humidity or the air pressure. I still hold, that especially when you have a CO2 to a line to a reg to a valve chamber on a Sheridan Valve will not get 20 GOOD shots out of a 12gram (280-260) if you take the last FPS down to 240 I'm still skeptical.
