Yep, its a Sterling, it works fine, shoots about 280 with the HPA tank I put on it (your pressure may vary), red barrel is brass lined, black barrel is aluminum. Not much else to say, asking $160 shipped CONUS

Those are definitely Sterling threads on the black barrel pictured.

As far as I know, Sterling threads are their own thing but I could be wrong.

I can’t tell by eye but I’d guess those are Sterling barrels and not Spider. If one is brass lined...I’d be very surprised if it were Spider threaded. If they both fit then they are both Sterling threaded and the non-brass lined barrel is from a Bronze (rental).

Since the black barrel is unlined and it matches the body I’d assume the body is also from a Bronze. The Bronze lacked a few steps of internal “polishing and matching” or something like that, not super important. It has no velocity adjustment but that doesn’t matter because the gun was properly designed. The bottom line parts match and we can assume came from a purple Sterling. The wood grip is very nice, also probably donated from another gun. I think everything here is pre-Arrow precision but I’m not an expert. It looks like a Bronze mostly upgraded to non-Bronze spec. Either way, it’s a great gun and a good price.

This is a nicer gun than a Phantom and only half the price. You will never get a Phantom to pump this smooth no matter what you do EVER with ANY parts. Sterlings are basically right in between a Nelson and a ‘cocker. No parts are available but then they rarely need them. Buy with supreme confidence at $150

While I don't know the full history of this one since I bought it used on here a little while ago, I do believe it was always black. The purple asa and fittings were from a sterling I had decades ago.

As for the velocity, I did tune it using a spring kit I had laying around so it is spot on.

Late to the party... Just help confirm, that barrel shank is way longer than a standard Spyder barrel.

I have a sterling stp, this looks like a Bronze. Still great shooters. A guybat a local fields called it a shnelson... Sheridan x Nelson im guessing? He was... old.

The STP is from the Arrow era, this is before that. When Arrow took over before they brought on the plastic 45 frame, velocity adjustable bolt, Spyder threads, and some other things.

I’m not an expert on Sterlings, but I think this is correct...

You are correct. This is from the first generation of Sterlings. They had three levels: Bronze, STP and Turbo. I have the original ad somewhere and I'll post it when I find it.
