SOLD.
Hey everyone, we've got a cool marker up for grabs today. The Mega Rare Avratech AV-1 Falcon.
FULL DISCLOSURE: I am not the owner, JJ Dee/JimmyDee (MCB) up in Canada is, if you saw my post about his Pink Retro7 a month or so ago, it's the same deal. He has asked me to post it up since I'm in more groups and he won't have to pay for Canada to USA shipping again. The marker is in my posetion in Las Vegas, Nv. You're more than welcome to message him directly to check up on this.
Originally designed to be a new age sterling, Avratech only made 13 or so of these, and only 4-6 of them are in public hands. Avratech decided there was much more interest in his Retro7 and decided to stop development of these.
Currently it's shooting really well. I've had it for a few weeks to mess with. Unfortunately since the MCB wipe a lot of the information on these has disappeared, but there is a small group of guys with info on these that were able to help me out. Thanks out to you fellows.
These all suffer from the "AT Bug", where if you pump it hard forward it will AT, it's remedied a bit by adding some small orings on the pump rods by the screws. It will still happen from time to time. But when I got it it was leaking and would only catch 1/5 of the time you tried to pump it. Now it Catches and works nearly all the time. It really likes to be pumped slowly.
This is really a collectors piece, if you'd want to play with this as a main marker I'd really suggest seeing about modifying or having a new hammer sear made, maybe a slightly deeper cut to the part that catches the pump handle, I honestly believe with that it'll become a totally reliable shooter.
I'm not really sure if a sear from another marker could be used, like from a Nelson. But I do know that you couldn't just drop in a Nelson hammer. This uses a pretty proprietary hammer design.
In my video (On FB) I'm using a ninja pro v2 set at 750 psi, if you want to go LP you might need to play a bit with the regulator.
Things that are included:
The Avratech AV-1 Falcon
Hitman rod - took it off as to not lose it at the field.
Cp reg
NDZ ASA and rail
JJ is asking $1000 USD OBO. Sold.. Would be interested in a Duckslide with a dukie in grip changer for trade as well, possibly a Carter Boxgun.
This is posted on FB. If you'd like to see the Chrono video PM me and I'll direct you to one of the threads.
Please get in touch with me or him. If you go straight to him, he'll let me know who gets it and I'll ship USPS with insurance and signature unless you don't want it.
