Screw me! Need 2 specific metric screws

    M1.7 x 17mm or longer

So I'm working on a project cyborg for Super Nova and it only had 1 mounting screw on the solenoid. Someone (who shall not be named) managed to drop the other one at the hardware store while checking to see if they had the correct size (they didn't) after much calling around and emailing I managed to track down that they are m1.7 x 17 mm. Which is a very screwball size.

Even macdev doesn't have them. I'm currently talking with the solenoid manufacturer to see if they still have them but figured there's an off chance one of you guys might as well.

Are you in a hurry? I migh be able to scrounge up a couple. After all, I live in the part of the world, where you intuitively can understand the size, weight, lenght, etc on something, by it's measurements in writing.

I mean, it is quite obvious to me that even you Americans are confused by your system of measuring, since everytime something unusually big is being showcased in the media, it is being measured in football fields, washing machines, pickup trucks, or whatever they can think of rather than miles, yards and inches.
    Got Bork?

Trbo323 what type of head on the screws?
Button, socket, flat, or pan head? What drive is needed? Phillips, hex, torx?

No luck on my end. Where I work, we stock M1.6 but only up to 8 mm long. We don’t have anything in M1.7.

Even mcmaster carr has almost nothing in that size. Especially that length

You can definitely find them on Aliexpress, and I have had good luck with getting this in ≤2 weeks from them lately.

What's speced is round head slotted but I'll take pretty much anything that doesn't have a bevel under the head

OK, I'll se what I can find. It's not a common size even over this side of the pond.

Nothing commercial off the shelf that I see in my industrial sources.

Anything longer by chance? I'm fine trimming them down if I need to

I've been talking with the solenoid manufacturer and they gave me a couple of part numbers but so far it's not the best option I found. One place wants a commercial account to be created and then a minimum quantity of 10 sets to be ordered at $5 a piece

They don't have anything to even close

I may have found them after talking with the solenoid manufacturer they gave me the part number for the screws and from there I found this

Part number matches up but it lists the screws as a 1.8 so I'm wondering if it's a rounding thing I'm going to make sure before ordering

If any of you guys have them I'd still be interested because it looks like these guys need a 10 day lead time to ship up and envelope of screws

The second one has a maximum length of 16

Mc Master Carr has 1.8 but not 1.7 I’m not sure how different they could really be on something so small massively produced. Looks like you can get a bunch of different types in various materials if a 1.8 will work. They have are good fast shipping to the US at least. But a lil pricey to ship.
