Scottie, I don’t have one or leads to one. But I’m curious as to what the AMG body looks like in the foregrip area. I’ve never had an AMG. I find it hard to believe the body couldn’t be tapped for ⅛ NPT threads. There must be something I’m missing about them

The body can't be tapped as the inlet hole is much bigger than that. Think the size just smaller than a dime. There are two smaller holes, for and aft, to secure the foregrip to the body. The bolts that do this are as long as the foregrip and go through it, but obviously not in the air chamber.

I'll see about getting pics up to depict this.

I've seen two different styles of these. Here's a pic of one of them:

Unlike all the rest of my other Spyders, I've always said that I would never mod my AMG... But then I get the wild hair for one of these things. Thanks. 😁

Hmm, but if there is enough material to tap the body to ⅜-24 (or whatever the 3/8 pipe thread is... I forget), you could then use ⅜ to ⅛ NPT adapter and thread in a standard ⅛ VA.

definitely not as nice looking as the custom reg adapter though.

Thanks for the additional info! Good luck in your search. I will keep my eyes peeled!

              BUMP.

I would also entertain the notion of someone making a number of these for me.

Would Kit be about to do a few of these?

I totally agree! In my group of people, we bought 3 of the Spyder Compact Horizontal ASAs.

If we can get a drawing with specs or someone gets a amg body in my hands we can get this done.

I might have access to an extra body.

Did you find an extra body?

If not, I've got one I can send in once I tear the marker down.

Can't seem to find my extra body... I can buy one NoS for a few bucks and drop ship. Lmk if you don't want to ship your only body for this project and I'll send one of those instead.

I've seen NOS bodies for sale before. I think I&I had them? What are they selling for? If it isn't too much, then I'd vote for that route. My AMG's are packed away in the very back corner of the basement. It would be an undertaking to unearth them, though not impossible.
