Hammer 7 Bolt Action Build

I recently had a First Strike Scout bolt action rifle but wasn't crazy about the AR layout and wanted something first strike compatible in a rifle stock. After scouring the web I found a near mint Hammer 7, did a little sanding and polishing and now it feeds and shoots like a dream. Then I cut it up.

I will add more pics as I go, but here is where I started this morning and where I am now.





I still need to machine the trigger assembly, bolt handle, get a longer barrel and figure out the air system.

Thats awesome! Whats your plans for an air source? also how much modification did you have to do to the stock? the 10/22 is quite wide so maybe no cutting?

Quite a bit of cutting but it was all pretty easy if you have access to a vertical mill. Just alot if trial and error. The harder part is going to be making the trigger assembly which is going to require some more complex aluminum work

For air, I might just go remote or possibly cut away some of the front of the stock for a 13ci. Haven't decided yet

Intergrated air into the stock via a 13ci would be pretty sweet.

I think I decided on an air setup. I can get an airline through the handle part of the stock and out the bottom. I am planning to cut the bottom of the stock and make a cradle for a 9ci tank inset about half the tank thickness.

If you can get your hands on a First Strike reg it will shorten your tank by about an inch, might fit even better.

I can take measurements if my 9ci with the short reg for you when I get home if you need me to.

I have a Guerilla Reg (didn’t they become First Strike?).

Either way, I’m at 6.75 inches for a Tippman 9ci with short Reg.

Did not realised they where no longer made. Have one on a 13ci and its the shortest setup I have
