*I will start this off with a statement: this tutorial is only for making rounds that you use at home, by yourself for setting your sights. DO NOT bring these to the field as you could seriously injure someone. They need to be clearly designated and marked so they don't get mixed in with your paintballs. Don't be stupid*
So yeah these First Strike things are really nice, but at the cost of $0.33 each, it would be nice to have a couple that are reuseable for sighting in your red dot.
So I carefully cracked these open and cleaned out the paint. Then I filled them up with some silicone. I carefully placed the two pieces back together and made sure they were centered with the ol finger feeler gauges. I let these dry for a couple days before using them. Most importantly I marked them with a sharpie so I know they are clearly my sighting rounds.
I will weigh them soon to see if they are still similar to their normal counterparts. They still fly straight. I still set up a towel with a printed target as I can still potentially crack the nose into pieces hitting a hard target. So for a dollar, I got 3 reuseable rounds that I don't care if they fall in wet grass or get dirty because I can just wash them off and use them again.
