Lol. Vegemite. I should point out that its funny because im originally from australia, just in case y'all didnt know.

but no, vegemite would dissolve the metal, so I'll be tig welding instead

did a good portion of the bolt. still need to make the bolt handle. a delrin pin/lug keeps everything tight whilst maintaining minimal friction

let me clarify that i would NEVER shoot these velocities at a field. I simply aired up the marker, loaded a paintball for the first time and recorded my findings... still, 770fps is impressive and i wanted to see what would happen if i got shot in the mask at these speeds. one mask cracked, but still would have protected the players face. the other mask was unscathed.

welded the upper and lower tubes together. i was hoping to simply fuse the tubes together but as it turns out, 12L14 requires a stainless filler, so the welds arent as clean as i'd hoped. i didnt weld around the barrel threads in fear of messing them up.

penetrating loctite was applied to the crack between the upper and lower tubes. this will act as an air seal around the transfer port

I'm loving these videos. Have you got a 3rd party calibration certificate for that chronograph? I don't think I've ever heard of paintballs surviving the forces required to get up to 770fps over ~9". Now I'm wondering what the practical limit is for velocity of a paintball..

Slow down there hoss I don't think anyone wants to get hit with a paintball going 777 fps

Got a link? I have a lathe that this could be useful on, until I pull together the funds for a proper vertical mill.

for those interested in the tools i use. hopefuly this helps

but in an ironic twist, this next part of the project goes back to basics. an angle grinder and a hand file were the best tools to use today

welded the trigger to the body. spent a long time fine tuning bits. still a lot more fine tuning to go. i also got the velocity down to a more civil 350fps.

You gonna have to re-spring or will you try to put some kind of restrictor in?

i've only shot 20 balls through it so far. i wasnt paying great attention to efficiency but it looks like i was getting maybe 10 decent shots???

I'm still running the overpowered spring at this point in time. i'll chuck a smaller spring in it later.

this thing squeezes every last drop of gas from that little 12 gram! the 29th shot is at 210fps. the 30th shot wont even leave the barrel. the only way to know I'm running low on gas is by the sound it makes on the last couple shots

slapped on a grip. bent a stock. did more fine tuning. decided to reward myself by making something fun - i rethreaded a 98 barrel for cocker, freak bored it and slapped on a giant 12" raincover.

                    next up: wood grips

The shot has a little more of a "bloop" sound to it. Thats about it. But there is something extremely entertaining about disassembling and reassembling a rain cover. Makes me feel very "special agent"

was missing the parts I needed for the grips, so i focused on a constant air adapter instead. i'll be replacing the macro fittings with braided line asap
