So basically, I am tired of wasting my money on pre built stuff, most of it overpriced in the 2023 market. I've had varying poor luck with machinists over the past few years, but hopefully this one goes smoothly.
What I started off with was a 11/16" complete blank body done by LNT/Vindicate Sports, from there I was able to snag a CCM S5 mini reg with a OG flat reg top, and lastly my favorite swing frame ever produced a Niche Vector swing frame.
Now it was time to make them kithhhhh.
I started concepting in my head, and then into CAD so I could give the machinist I am working with this time a good idea of my vision.
Basically, I wanted a round top, round bottom, right feed body. The regulator will reside directly off the front where a front block or pump arm would normally sit.
I will run 2 guide rods, 1 internal guided by a delrin or brass bushing at the front of the body, and opposing side will get a permanent stationary arm to keep everything aligned. There will also be a 1" roughly slot for the AT system.
The handle will sit over the regulator but not ride on it.
The bolt/sled setup will also be midblock/internal.
Will keep this updated as things progress, but for now here are pictures of the purchased items I snagged, and the conceptual body design I had in my head.
But basically I am looking for the ultimate combination of simple and clean, no complicated internal gismos, or places for more air to leak, as smooth as of pump stroke as possible, and hopefully the puffiest shot Ive had in a pump.
