I had to renew my Free Hobbyist/Personal license of Fusion today, and it took me a bit to figure out how to do it correctly without getting prompts to pay for the full version. So for anyone who is in the same boat, here you go!
This works for both Starting a NEW hobbyist/personal use license, or RENEWING and existing one.

TL;DR
Basically, go here: https://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/personal
Click "Get Started"
And fill in the pertinent info.
Note that you DO have to re-download if you are renewing your license, even though you probably already have Fusion on your machine.
Go forth and design great things, my friends!
