The way I understand things is there's enough room in front of the bolt with A5 threads that's it's not an issue. But for 98 threads, it'll catch if there isn't a gap.
Edit: wait, do you mean pull out the front of the barrel? Or get stuck in the bolt o-ring and pull out the back and into the breach?

What did you 3D print today?

Toestr, hmm, hadn't considered that. I haven't fired it yet. Will have to mess around and see what I can do about that.
EDIT: Upon further inspection, no. Seems like the insert is large enough to catch on the edge of the breech. With the barrel in and the bolt cocked I'm not able to push it into the breech.

Well, I've been maniacally printing things and learning a ton.
Recently picked up an A5 that I wanted to put a TASO Raincover on. Unfortunately, the stock Tippmann barrel, and I can only assume many of the aftermarkets are just a bit too girthy to fit into the old rain cover.
So I made my own.
I really need to upgrade from PLA so I can actually use these parts.

Just messing around, but a decent concept.
Not pictured: at least 30 prints with different settings to get these to fit together properly.

I'm honestly itching to play with it. If I can figure out something to increase the velocity, I think I'm going to take it to the field with me next time.
But a fat pump handle is a must. I can hardly even grip the stock one.
There are a surprising number of files for them on Thingiverse.

OMG, I haven't messed with my er2 since before I had a 3d printer. Talk about a marker you can't hurt with a printed part!

Yeah. Thankfully I use a silicone cover on my hot end instead of the stock fiberglass insulation. That would have been a real mess. The filament was a brand new spool, but over successive prints, the Aqua Net I spray on my mirror bed eventually wore off. This was totally on me trying to eek out just one more print when I shouldn't have.
