I recommend looking around for rentals first. Get your CAD models ready ahead of time. My local library loans them out for 2 week periods. There are maker spaces available in urban areas that will let you reserve time.
Make no mistake about it - they require maintenance. Unless you're in it for the fun or are using it on a weekly basis, it's probably cheaper to out source.
I use them at work on a regular basis. We have dozens of them in various sizes and capabilities - from Prusa to Formlabs to Raise3D... It requires a person dedicated to their maintenance and upkeep.
