    Battle grips project

Restarting the thread for the 007 battlegrips I was working on before The Hack.

Working on CAD models for Nelspot Battlegrips. Whoever it was that printed my first draft (sans the the 12ie cavity) feel free to repost those pics!

EDIT: just a placeholder for the moment, imgur isn't letting me link my photos right now.

      IMPORTANT!
I don't have record of who let me borrow their battlegrips!

Please contact me so I know who to send them back to.

(Nish, it might have been you. Was it you?)

Reconstructed from before the Big Sad,

Rainmaker sent me the file and I used it as a 3D printing challenge. The model was well formed except for some holes in the mesh body. After a few clicks in fusion 360 I had a printable grip.

Make a quick repair in Fusion 360

Slice it in Prusa Slicer, 0.20 mm layer heights, 0.40 mm nozzle.

Printed on a Prusa Mk3s in MatterHackers Brown PLA.

Awesome model, printed smoothly with no supports!

Is the hole cute after the print?

The grip screw holes are modeled into the print, no post processing needed! The 12g changer hole was not modeled yet.

AHA! It was the 12g hole I was asking about specifically. I'm on board now. I really have no idea how this stuff works.

Yeah, I haven't quite figured out yet how I want to approach modeling the 12ie cavity. Going to be a fun challenge

Fuzzy skin setting in Cura will take care of that.

Thanks to Carp letting me borrow his spare PGP, I've also been able to work on adapting the Battlegrip profile to the PGP grip frame. CAD snapshot, and a thin test print to check screw hole location and grip frame fitment:

Aperture3D - did you say you liked the feel of the grip? This one has the same shape

Just an observation, but could there be a bit less material on the left side under the thumb shelf? As it turns in the video it seems like it is actually wider on that side than the right side where there's the palm swell.

How has this fallen to page 2? Any updates? Rainmaker are any other revisions wanted/needed/planned on this spectacular advancement of hand comfort? Have you even played paintball this year? Why won't you acknowledge Jonnydread has and is the jersey number 00? Do you just not like him because, he's from Rhode Island?

Hey! Not ignoring anyone, just been kinda off grid the past week. Once I get back to my computer/ printer, I'm hoping to move on to carving the 12g cavity out for the Nelson grips. I have a few ideas how to do it in CAD.

So you just don't like Jonnydread? It's ok...I heard he smells like cooked cabbage mixed with a hint of salmon patties.
