    The fs style just knuckle balls forward and doesn't stabilize.

    The extended fins with out o-ring flies 20 yards further than the classic or o-ringed one.
    This is just with preliminary tests and no fps regulation. Or hard tests.

    FEED BACK FROM TESTER E--- T---. On version 2 of the furthest right rocket.

    ok i put it though the testing process yesterday and here is what the results are
    havoc used with standard barrel at aproximately 200 fps (give or take)
    test series one flight characteristics.
    stayed level and mostly straight from 25 to about 60ish feet.
    at about 80 feet is when they started to dip down in flight.

    second test strength test hitting a solid wooden bunker flat shot at mid range
    four hits, no damage to rockets seen


    third tests.. testing to failure.
    targeted concrete bunker wall, flat trajetory, direct hit at less than 5 feet away and using only one rocket.
    shot it 7 times and only after 7th shot small rip where the shaft connected with the tail.

    then shot it along the side across a black plastic corrugated pipe bunker ending hitting head on pipe (L shaped bunker) .
    the rip slightly increased, flew straight, no damage anywhere else.

    last test shot across paintball netting.
    flew straight and tail fins ripped off at failure point.

    overall conclusions
    the combination of more solid body and soft nose PERFECT combination
    It files pretty straight up to around 75ish feet before needing to angle for longer range.
    the strength when used in worst possible situation very good.

    what needs improvement IMO
    while the fins did seem to hold it in the barrel to increase efficiency (and range in straight flight) need to increase the body for a closer bore to rocket match.
    The shaft that the fins connect to needs to be a tad thicker and maybe a tad thicker."
    the fins themselves had minimal bending and were not damaged in any tests.
    so thickness and design seems to be spot on.

    so as is very good design
    to make better small changes suggested.

    since the fins seem to help and the body isnt as soft as the nerf rounds that getting a tad closer or exact is the diameter... dont think flexible for much over bore size .
    didnt have the longer (24inch) barrel to test with at the time and thats next test.
    but given it helps other rounds (not so good on air, cant have everything) it extends flight range/levels.

    oh i forgot to say outside of the tail torn off the rocket showed NO DAMAGE what so ever.
    i only used one for failure test due to design seemed identical​

    Very neat! I particularly like the look of the center one. Kinda like a giant first strike.

    How are you making these? 3d printing the molds then casting the foam?

      These will be made using Flex foam products, The molds are currently being printed, the photos are of master blacks being used as a negative.

      I will be casting them around christmass and news years, as a test casting. I feel that there may need to be some tweeks to the molds moving forward. I have used a silcone mold in the past and had some variations on sizes between each rocket. So I am trying a 3d printed mold to see if i get more consistencey between castings.

      Pending what each person wants between 5-8 dollars per rocket, plus shipping. All of that depends on add ons- like color, uv reactive, cost of foam material.

    I was gifted some rockets last year my havoc is broken so I never got to shoot one. But his dual foam compesition is really cool.

    Have you done flight tests? I thought rotation on a rocket wasn't ideal.

      Yes on the furthest right rocket. The canter and Left rockets are changes and new additions that i am trying based on feed back and me wanting to see if i can make a first strike style work.
      From my and a few others feed back, i had more issues with how tight the rocket was to the barrel, sizing. Also with concrete and tree branches the fins had the probability of getting ripped off with the tail torn.
      So the furthest right rocket is an updated version with a beefier tail end.

      Test fights were done on version 2 of the furthest right rocket. You lose some distance due to a higher drag coefficient and a heavier projectile. But what I find is there is a greater accuracy at longer distance due to rotational stabilization. I have used these at ION as well and had made back to back hits on tanks from 75 yrds within a 3 foot radius.
      This was with the rockets being slightly under bored and using the fins to keep the rocket in the barrel. Also I flex hone all my barrels.

      I will post on of my testers findings latter.

    Have you seen the stuff Big Bang Paintball has been doing with havoc launcher tips and foam Scenario Slugs? I've been having a ton of fun with the slug launcher

    expanding on this, in your testing you should try to identify the designs that may cause the rocket to tumble, and omit those. I feel like if these end up tumbling in flight, those fins might be painful, or maybe cut someone. my 0.02 cents! cheers, M7

      The fins are made of flex foam 17, stiff but flex-able. I am mostly worried about the new first strike style tumbling as putting so much back pressure tends to make them squirrly, so that one is on my list of fingers crossed it works as i see huge redesign in the future, but still need/want to try this.

      The version 2 of my rocket had thinner fletchings, and the only thing that destroyed them was tree branches or hard objects, These are all chemically bonded with no glue, plastic stem or coating.

      To me these are safer and more energy dispersing than kush, nerf, or carlos? designs. I have seen the fins, tails, and plastic stems of kush and nerf get punched out after hitting a hard object or clipping a few branches. (harder to do with kush due to stem design)
      And my first version was way to stiff using the same foam as carlos? (i can't remember the orange rocket maker with paintball marking front).

      So I went with a two part foam mold with 1.5 inch soft foam tip, bonded to a stiffer foam backing for stability and durability. No internal plastic, no glued on fins, no two parts tail and body glued together.

      I want something safe, reliable, and repairable (pending molds and future). I agree completely with your thoughts and good to have any input on safety concerns. I will keep an eye out for these issues.
