Feeding double-barrel gun with a single hopper?

Do any clever guys here have ideas on how to feed a double-barrel gun from a single hopper? My goal is to make my already impractical and silly double-barrel Ion more usable by taking some weight off of it.

I took 2x ricochet hoppers, sawed the shell halves off so they meshed on my double ion, then epoxies them together.

I'd imagine you could mock up a 3d printed shell that had 2x feednecks, but only one hopper prop to achieve what I got going on.

I had a rough project to do that with viewloader guts.
Done it with gravity hoppers, but never got to put the motor on there.

Yup, run as an over under and feed straight through the top breach. Just make sure the spacing in-between the top and lower beach equals a multiple of . 68 so you have a certain number of balls in between the two breaches

Has someone tried this yet? In principle, it seems like it'll work, but I wonder whether this set up will be sensitive to paint size. E.g. works for 0.684 paint but chops 0.680 or 0.688 paint. I don't imagine this will matter but maybe I'm overlooking something.

Works great with one ball at a time, but with multiple balls in a line it will probably eventually jam up.

I suspect it can be done simply using any force-feed system and dialing in the diverter geometry to prevent jams or misfeeds.
