Been messing around a little with the sterling design in CAD to add some additional features and see what could be done if it was started from more or less a blank slate. I'm working around the concept of an extruded aluminum body to reduce the machining and will be looking at a molded frame and pump. A couple of the features I'm working to add in are listed below. The images are the initial body concept with the valve and bolt, still need to work out the hammer and pump components. For a size reference, the body is 5" in length. Thoughts or suggestions?
- Autococker threads
- Air through grip
- Detent
- Under-cocking pump
- Easier method to adjust velocity, considering something along the methods of Tippmann markers where they restrict the airflow from the valve to the bore
- Interchangeable feed (hopper or horizontal tube)
