    Markers made mech by MCB'ers...

Trying to see which platforms have been successfully converted to mechanical operation.. preferrably by members here. A few years ago there were some good discussions on controlling dwell mechanically, and I am curious which markers have all been converted.

There was a mechanical Intimidator project going... did it ever get finished? Does it work?

There was a lot of talk about mechanical Axes, but the project and disvussion seemed to stall due to dwell dependency... but we can control dwell mechanically... did anyone ever successfully convert a Mini or Axe or TM7?

Think we could maybe compile a list of which markers have been converted to mech, and possibly who did the conversion?
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

capitalpaintball has made all sorts of markers into pumps, not exactly what you are referring to, but I felt it was worth mentioning.

Got this MacDev Clone in a bundle couple of years ago and this poor gun was in pieces, missing the board and no idea on solenoid condition. With the wave of mech conversion I decided I should try it. After analysing the animation, I wad able to confirm it was a good candidate. When the bolt move foward, a slide ring move to

The same component could be used to mech a DM3 Matrix

My favorite mech Ion I've built. πŸ™‚ I really need to build another for myself at some point.

      Jordan made several mech Rainmaker

I wanted to mech a PMR rail but never finished it (could be done with a SMAV 3 like the Ion)

Hi everyone, A few of you have reached out to me to ask that I rewrite the old thread on The Mechitmidator now that MCB is back online. Thank you for the motivation, and I'll do my best to recount everything for the record. This thread was originally titled 'Existential Crisis About Electros'. Some time in 2017 I was trying

Awesome. Thank you for naming the actual parts used, and providing links. Most appreciated.

This is technically a mech turned electric turned pneumatic, design is relevant for a FASOR. Key aspect being that it has pneumatic Dwell control:

I have meched an evil omen. Used an F4 illustrator frame with a custom spacer and re-drilled holes in the frame for attachment. I wish I had pics of the final project, it felt a lot like shooting a clunky Spyder, haha.

I also made a mech double ion. SMAV-3 valve with a t-joint to fire both at once. One valve was fed through the ion frame gage port and other through standard hose. Used an SP1 body with the second gun mounted in a scope mount on one of the rear rails at 45* to be fed with an elbow and hopper. I used a lucky air fitting on the back to get higher air flow for the trigger valve.

I plumbed a DM3 up for mech use, but never went beyond the concept phase of making it fire by triggering the valve by hand.

I am actually in the process of making a mech/pump Omen. I am using a single trigger Arrow Precision Inferno frame... actually just had it with me at work yesterday to drill a new front frame screw hole in it to line up with the Omen body. Lol.

JeeperCreeper is currently making a pump Ion using two SMAV3 valve. Not sure if he made a build thread yet

"Pump" indeed. I just broke the spool system a little bit

It's been an ongoing project, but most of it is here:
On this episode of what to jam full of mechanical Ion, I'm going to make a rifle. I have this airsoft stock just begging for this. The chamber practically fits already. I also want to make a spring feed for it. I've been tossing the idea around for a few days now, and after seeing all of the crazy Ion builds that have happened

And then, I made it "pump" action by replacing the 3 way with 2-2 ways and a T fitting.

Like I said, its an ongoing project, and I have plans to make it into: the Lever Ion. Yes you read it right.

I also built a successful Spyder pump, and did it just a bit different than the others I have seen. It's too damn smooth, just ask Chuck E Ducky

I had a mockup of one of these as well. I used two smav 3 valves in series with a check valve between the two. The first valve was hooked to the supply air. When the pump arm hit it, air went to through the second valve to the front of the bolt and the check valve held it in place. The second valve then could vent that air as the trigger. I just needed a 3d printer to make it actually be a pump setup. I lost the files long before I could make it be. It would have been similar to pumping a pneumatic assist cocker.

Pump Ion's are fun. I've had one hoseless and currently have one w/ hose. Barely any pump stroke at all.

Yeah, but mines different. It's "pump" stroke is pushing a 3 way right now. Once I get the proper 2 way valves, I'll start with the lever part. I also have a feed block for it to make my spring feed

Hasn't really started yet but I have the markers in. I'm going to be attempting a mech proto slg at some point
