I think that's Spanish for <Chris Farley> "the Gringo </Chris Farley>.
I was asked if I thought I could build something like the CF barrel I made for one of my brass builds (now owned by Grendel ), and after some cogitation, figured I just might be able to come up with something that could work.
Blazers having such a thin "thread" section where the barrel is retained in the breech meant the 21mm OD tube I used on my original build wouldn't work, so I needed an alternative solution. I found some 20mm OD thinwall CF tube that seems like it'll do the trick - it's a tiny bit smaller in diameter than a Blazer barrel by about 0.008" (0.787 vs 0.795) but I think the clamp should still work. Might need to shim with a bit of tape - I don't have a Blazer to test-fit, unfortunately.
The insert isn't flush with the end either - Blazer bolts enter the barrel by roughly 1/4", and users report any inserts smaller than .687 tend to jam the bolt up, so I have a short section (~3/8") of barrel tube that inserts into the barrel to retain the insert and allow space for the bolt. The retainer is loosely friction fit into the barrel and will be retained by the breech step.
I've got a couple ideas for porting, and possibly a beauty ring a la BOA Snake bite - we'll see. Loosely assembled to test fitment and function before anything else, we've got this:
