    Anyone down for a build-off?

It has been a while since there's been a proper build competition, and winter's coming...

I'm thinking of something simple. Currently what I have so far might be subject to change depending on what we all come up with here.

    - To enter: Obtain the marker we decide on.
    - The goal should be obvious, to make the coolest marker, winner decided by a poll. You can make it operate however you want, as long as it actually fires a paintball.
    - The prize: I'm thinking eternal bragging rights and I can probably work with someone to make a T-shirt.
    - Maybe a spending limit on mods
    - There will be a set time limit once the competition starts. I dont want this to drag on too long.

    1. So for the marker, I was thinking like a JT Er2 or Er2s. But we could also do a different theme. STBB, Tippmann, PGP,'s ect but definitely something cheap, as you will have to provide your own marker to start with. This wouldn't subtract from your spending limit for mods.

    2. As for proof of function, I know not everyone has access to a chrono, so maybe something like it has to break paint on a mask from 20ft on video.

    3. I want this to be accessible to everyone, so if we do a spending limit, what would the cap be?

    4. Freebies should be something you have on hand but arent otherwise using. Like if you need a regulator, but have to take it off your main shooter, it should be tallied up as fair market value for the used part. But if its sitting in a box on the shelf, its fair game. We can discuss this.

    5. One category only, winner takes all. Yes some people have printers and milling machines, but either get creative or get real friendly with those people with the tools.

    5. What do we want to name the competition? It will likely end up on the winner's t-shirt design.

    6. Anything else?

    Crapnastock?

$100 hard limit outside the marker itself.

I think all parts should be considered fair market price, this is MCB, we know or can find out how much an item is worth.

2 month time frame? Gives time for shipping and execution?

never even heard of the JT ER2 till now, but a quick search showed that it could be a good contender - lots of possibilities and one that i could wrap my head around! I might be down for this one.
seem readily available on e-bay fot under 100

And they are surprisingly good shooters! I may be giving one away for Walzmas.... but this might change what I was going to do with it.

More open....like any gas blow back....any closed bolt....or even whatever you have laying around as long as you post it requesting it to be acceptable for submission.

My vote is for STBB’s because who doesnt have a random box-o-Spyder on a shelf? If not those things are so crazy cheap might as well be free.

I'm in for the JR2 build. I just did one for Slimbo's stock class event. I love the idea of turning Crap to Craptastic.

ER2's seem like they would be fun. Id say let peeps acquire one and then set a build price. No more than "X" doll hairs.

Should we make a poll to decide between STBB or ER2. Or maybe allow both?
Its a lot easier to find STBB than ER2 at a cheap price
I have at least 6 I can use or sell to someone who want to take part in this build off.

I would argue the er2 is easier to find and obtain. The only gun they still sell at my Walmart (only $30 new!) I have an arsenal of them, I commonly buy them on ebay for $10

KMDPB I wish it was that easy in Canada...
Wallmart no longer sell paintball and Canadian tire (similar to lowes) sell package for $129 CAD which is $92 USD. I guess I will buy start importing ER2 next time I go to the US...

                      I’d much prefer STBB

YESSS I love a build off!!! Although I'm super busy with life right now, I hope the time frame is longish... I vote for the ER2, super cheap and easily obtainable plus it puts everyone on exactly the same playing field.
Gas, Grass or Brass, no one rides for free...

COB has a bunch of these I bet those would be fun to build.

I have 13 Umarex HDS68 shotguns for sale. 5 have had the valve block modified to increase the velocity of the marker. 7 have not been modified. All will come with the quick pierce cap required for operation, but not shown in the pics. $85 each shipped CONUS Group deals will be considered. The stuff I shouldn't have to say but
