What can I say, I got bored. I've been extremely busy the last few months, the weather is damn cold and then I went down with the flue. Today was the first day I felt like trying to do something. I looked at several projects that are partially started or had recently popped into my head. The true M1 Garand style paintball marker with bottom tube feed system. The Roscoe Carbine project. Another attempt at the ER4 Rapide hybrid. No, I went a completely different direction. I decided to shove a Tippmann A5 into a wood rifle stock. The A5 was missing some furniture, an air line system and the paint needs to be refreshed.
Thus began the rummaging through the arsenal. I dug up a 20" A5 barrel. Also selected a M1 Garand stock to modify. I found an air line, ASA and an ASA drop forward. I modified the front of the A5 to fit the stock as well as the trigger. I added a second relocated trigger with jack line to the original trigger. Then came the many adjustments to the wood stock to fit the marker and the cyclone feed system. I was happy to find that this went relatively quickly and well.
I need to add a bottom plate, trigger guard and a front band. I may plug, fill and shape the butt of the stock. Possibly sand and stain the entire stock. I am unsure If I will add furniture to the front stock or leave the barrel fully exposed.
