We are three days out and the top three are jockeying neck and neck. There's even still time for a dark house to pull ahead of the pack! What will happen next? Who will take home the (metaphorical) golden turd?? Will Taylor Swift ever find true love??? Will Schmitti ever post a blade that isn't already sold??!! Stay tuned to find out!Dulce et decorum est pro comoedia mori

Congratulations to KMDPB, our 2021 Poo Master and proud new lifetime member of MCB (whether he likes it or not). KMDPB wowed the community with his backyard foundry and homebrew anodizing skills, turning out The Mouse and putting ordinary spumps to shame
Turd Journeyman Myrkul takes second place, and in addition to an additional year of green membership, will receive an MCB t-shirt in case he ever wishes to identify with us in public. Myrkul treated us to the Beater Tippmann with sick-looking exposed vertical line and the sweet RT on/off switch
Our third place winner and Poogician's Apprentice, also earning another year, is Memornix with a twist on the nelson rifle starting out with a humble Trracer (and a rental at that!), impressing us all with his machining skills and one clean looking build.
Special thanks to Spider! who not only owned the Pile o' Poo Build-Off concept from MCB 2.0 and allowed me to copy it, but who is also funding the 2nd and 3rd place prizes.
Congratulations to all the winners, but in a very real sense, congratulations to all the entrants and everyone who watched and participated. I had a blast running the contest.
XEMON, the Necromancer, brought an A-5 back from the dead that ought to have been melted for scrap
Rainmaker, der Printmeister, showed us what a madman with a little engineering knowledge and a 3D printer can accomplish
nobbie333, the Pistolsmith, built the gun I always wanted those 12 gram pistols to be, except his actually works
Cdn_Cuda, the Fabulist (look it up), embraced not only the build but the STORYTELLING I remember from the good old days. And he used a real toilet flushing handle for the cocking knob! Seriously, you people must have missed that!
And finally JeeperCreeper, the Hotrodder, took a basic cheap Ion and souped it up into a custom masterpiece that even my buddy netsurferdude2 would have to try (he hates electros)
Phoo, that was a lot. Thank you also to the couple of guys who started but didn't quite finish--I still want to see those guns blazing one day!
And thank each and every one of you who voted, browsed, lurked--and just generally make MCB the best paintball home on the Internet!Dulce et decorum est pro comoedia mori

Thanks for running this Axel! And congrats to the winners!
Hit me up next time this runs and I’ll sponsor a beginners’s builder category. People are way too talented with doing amazing builds with 3D printers, etc so I want to have a category that is more open to the general members and hopefully get a bit more participation.

That was exactly my reasoning for making it an amateur contest. The last time, Doc Nickel and one or two other airsmiths were in it, and while I LOVE his build threads, I didn't want 'ordinary' members to feel intimidated.
But I agree, the next round could use improvement here. I had good intentions, but just ended up driving off all the "pros", and leaving everyone else in one category bunched together regardless of skill and expertise.
I will take you up if I do this again

For the first revival of this it went quite well, Axel! It’ll take a few times to run this to figure out what level of participation we get. I think the timing was good as well, extending over Walzmas and making February more exciting. If we make it annual as well people can hord parts over the year and kind of prep for the contest. Also, Axel put a lot into the prizes for rewards to it’s be nice to spread that out a bit so it’s not a huge personal cost to him.

I'm not against a small entry fee to help with expenses. And I agree I feel like it would be nice to have 2 categories, but I'm not sure exactly how you split them. Some like me only have basic hand tools, and no machining experience or equipment or 3d printer. Some have one and not another.
