    Regulator Bench Tester

Here’s a tank or high pressure regulator and low pressure regulator test setup I made. Simple, not horrible in price depending on your gauges and fittings.

Used an old rickety on/off ASA with 2 ports and drop. One port I added a push-bleed valve and the other port was used for the plumbing. In between the larger gauge, I added a T fitting and 1/8 QD fittings for an lpr testing spot. On the small lpr gauge, I added a push-bleed valve as well. This can be used to test tank regulators as well. I’ll update this if the pictures are trash.

Use high pressure fittings instead of brass if you’re dealing with CO2 or SHP setups, you’ll also need a needle or ball valve to bleed pressures in that range. All my setups are 500 psi and lower.

Ah, push-button bleeder, I knew I was still missing something... I have been meaning to make me one of these. I keep staring into the abyss of spare parts thinking to build it, but I know I am missing something.

Good thinking with the extra fittings for the LPR.

I finally have a use for my Ninja remote...
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I chose the push-button bleeder figuring it would make life easy. It does for lpr cycling and tuning, but not so much for the hpr side. Meant to add a note when using the push button type, be careful not to have your hand or fingers around the vent as you depress the valve. No one wants an injury or embolism. I’m going to look for a small valve that can handle high pressures and maybe a diffuser.
