2023 Pile Of Poo bolt mods

I thought we could share stuff on common items. I know many builders don't need any help, so maybe we don't need such things.

I haven't tried this bolt out yet, but it should be close.

I thought about a few things to try, like buying from tippmannparts.com, printing, machining, etc., but this took a few minutes so far.

I started a hacksaw cut at the back of the 50 cal opening and cut to the front side of the crosspin, then I followed the crosspin for the rest of the cut. I wiggled the pin out with some needle-nose pliers. The bolt face is was sanded flat on the bench. It looks the right length for the breech, with the rubber o-ring between the back of the hammer and plug. Let us know if you have tried one of these out already, please....

I'm hoping the 50 cal shoulder is an anti-chop feature. I'm thinking I may fill in the pin dimples with epoxy.

***After further fit-up, the bolt looks about 1/10" long. I'm going to check again and cut some more.

First of all, your 50 cal bolt looks nice with that red ano. Im kinda jelly of that, mine are just grey.

2nd. Im curious to see if that causes a rollback issue.

I personally just sunk 45 fricken dollars shipped into a killhouse bolt. The internal oring is a must for my plans, and I couldn't find one elsewhere. Im hoping thats one of my largest expenses.

I have to admit my scrap pile has zero tippmann parts.
