Probably going to get stripped and flipped it wouldn’t look bad without the stuff stuck on the side and a flat black barrel. It’s already about $150 more then I would buy one for especially one that hasn’t been modified to shoot right. But the Book Face tax is high on MVP. So I guess if you really wanted an MVP that is one way. Modified they shoot good but after owning both modified an unmodified they are not worth the cost of admission.

The frame oring seal issues. Cam lug slipping and poorly timed AT with massive valve bounce is annoying. Especially
now that they are bringing over $1k even for non modified ones. Good luck sourcing the bearings the pump rod rides on when you eventually need them. I would never buy another one that hasn’t been fixed by PVN. I sold my PVN modified one for what I had in it $750 (cheap) when you consider what these have been hyped up to on BookFace. The most annoying thing about them is they need low pressure regs. They shoot nice like if you had a Phantom that was as smooth as a CCM but that’s after the PVN mod. Buying an MVP is like buying a J12 you are spending a lot to get something different, not better.

I'm pretty sure the "different" is what makes it better, no phantom on Earth shoots like an MVP. I'll reiterate what I said initially; MVPs shoot fine unmodified. I've also never had any of the problems you describe with mine and I'm not on FB so I don't know what hype you're talking about.

The what’s it worth face book tax. Where I get my friends to comment that a specific piece is worth more then it really is then that sets the new market price with actual sales not backing it up. Any of the marketed Bookface pages are wild with there valuation. It’s why you can sell an new $80 jt mask for $450. It points like a phantom because everything is inline. Unlike a CCM that aims more like a stack tube. They are smooth. I never said they weren’t. Lots of people like them. Modified I think they are over priced I wouldn’t even buy one that wasn’t. But people throwing crazy cash around spending that unemployment/stimulus money like water so who knows.Last edited by Chuck E Ducky; 02-12-2021, 02:26 AM.
