Shootback System: Adding real-world feedback consequences to virtual training is the ultimate way to maximize stress in either battlefield or use-of-force scenarios. The GTS 200 Shootback System is an advanced simulator accessory that fires rubber projectiles at the trainee, causing them to utilize cover while returning fire.
This device is controlled by the instructor, who initiates and terminates firing via wireless controls at appropriate times in various courseware titles including JTS - Judgmental Training Software and VBS3 - Virtual Battlespace 3. Muzzle velocity and projectile density have been calibrated to prevent injury to the trainee when being hit. However, standard kinetic face and throat protection is required.
