So I’m the joker that picked this thing up. I had one similar from the 02 era (I think). Except it has the splash pneumatics block and a splash pneumatics shroud as well. Even had the original box. Sold it a few years back when I needed that cash, big regret. I played a lot of tournaments with that thing (I have photos of the gun if anyone is interested).

This thing came along and I probably paid more than I should have. Turns out the pneumatics have flaking/corrosion on them (not a ton but some) and the guy that shipped it didn’t back it well and it came with a bent beaver tail :/. But I had to have it and now I feel a little more complete (paintball gun wise haha).

Nice pick up! I had one years ago that I now regret selling too.

It's a nice resto mod with the match anodized modern ASA and freaked barrel!

Is this not a factory configured Eclipse Gun?

Unless I'm just ignorant about what Eclipse was making back then, that rail mount ASA looks like it's newer than the gun itself, with a custom anodizing job to match the rest. I do see some of the Nexus cockers with similar setups but I think those would have been out a few years after this one? (Edit, looks like a 2007 Ego on/off to me)

I'm not an expert on whether the barrel is original, but the freak insert boring is definitely a custom job that was done recently. Those two mods keep the original look but drastically improve functionality.

Interesting. I am no expert either, but would certainly like to know more details. I bought the gun primarily from a nostalgia aspect, but I also know it’s from a newer era than mine was based on serial and the second jewel cutout. Looking back at some old photos my Eclipse Cocker was from the ‘00 or earlier time frame. I don’t mind the ASA or freak insert but am curious about other aspects being proper eclipse or not. Is there a good place to post to find out more? At some point I’d like to restore the pneumatics so it doesn’t look crusty. Also, thanks for the info
