    Throwback picture 99 World cup

I have more pictures somewhere of players and guns and equipment from the booths. I will be sure to share. I need to scan them.

Bob had just come off the field was limping from a twisted ankle and had just been lit up. He still took the time to take a picture with me.

I remember hearing the owner of Smart Parts cussing out somebody about infringing on his patent lol funny how these memories are coming back now. Good times!

I was at NPPL, walking with some friends, and noticed that Bob Long was walking in front of us. So I said hey that's Bob Long, he turned around, looked at us, and it was just awkward as shit. In hindsight, I should have turned that into a photo op, or at least a compliment for the guy as I do love his guns.

Also if there was ever a pro event in New England again, I would be there in a heartbeat.

Neat picture, I met Bob and his wife around this same time, but at Skyball. So my Surname is Actually French, De Long, with De meaning “of” or “of the” in French. I told them both, With my name being Robert De Long literary Robert of the Long family, we could be brothers of another mother sort of joking, his wife just thought that my version of Long was so much cooler then just Bob Long.

That's very cool story. Great memories. I was 19 when I met him. I started playing around the age of 12-13 and read about him in magazines. So it was very cool to meet this guy I'd read about for so many years. I'm glad he ended up being a nice guy. Thanks for sharing the story.
