People equate WEIGHT with soul and quality and feel.

When you're on the field shooting people what matters is the amazing function and it gains the soul you thought it lacked.

I agree. "Soul" means different things to different people. I get that old guns are fun and nostalgic, full of novelty and character. Collect and use them! But when it comes down to it for me, I want something that I don't have to worry about that is also light weight and minimal.

I was worried about this when I bought my Resurrection, but deep down it's still an autococker and I can shoot out people left & right with it. I was all about having backblock, but the Ressy just shoots and feels so nice. It's been many years since I've acclimated myself to a paintgun so quickly.

As for spoolers, I'm quickly warming up to my new Emek. It's a no-fuss, all business paintgun. The shot quality is better than everything I own barring my sniper and maybe my Etek 5, at least for my play style. It doesn't have the "soul" of a full body cocker or other stacked tube poppets, but there is some soul in there- just in a different form. Soul is a rather subjective term.
