+1 awesome, thanks. The only thing keeping me from buying military surplus MRE’s is their price, all of the reviewers are saying that the prices shot up 100-150% in the last year. Honestly $375 for 24 MRE’s (2022 inspection) is a bit much. Canned goods are like 1/10 or 10% of that. Even if the MRE’s last 20+ years versus 3-10 years. It’s hard to justify. I had no idea they had gotten this expensive. Maybe I need to keep looking at other brands instead of the milspec surplus ones.
Plus I feel better about spending money on the canned goods cause it’s stuff that I eat anyway and I can rotate it every 2-3 years, whereas I’m not one to eat MRE’s for fun.
But if I find pasta MRE’s for a decent price, I could buy some just to round out the stockpile a little better 👍
