best glue to repair mask foam?

I have a proto mask and the foam, which is still in great shape, is coming unglued from the plastic. I'm going to swing by walmart later to get some glue, what would you recommend me to use? rubber cement? super glue?

I would go with spray adhesive

I've heard either. I used super glue for my JT and it was fine. Just remember to push LIGHTLY (little to no crush) on the foam when installing or you'll saturate the foam and it will be scratchy.

I use Superglue I like the Jell stuff the best. It’s easier to apply and put where are you want it. Less likely to run off on stuff you don’t want it on. You put it on the frame and set the foam where you wanted to stay. Never had issues again with it coming off when I used superglue. Take the lens out just incase you get sloppy. Make sure you have it lined up where you want it when you place the foam and frame together.

I have found that silicone or stuff like "Shoe Goo" or rubber cement to work the best. In my own experience super glue tends to soak into the foam, have had one case where it reacted with the foam and melted it. Other times it led to hard spots inside the foam that hurt when you put the mask on. My favorite adhesive as of late for many purposes is some stuff called Sil-Poxy. It's designed for SFX and works to bond a lot of things together and remains somewhat supple when dried.

I've had good results with hot melt glue.
            I can haz feedback?
If I owe you feedback, just remind me, as I sometimes forget.

Walmart used to see something called ATV silicone. We use that for years.

E-6000 is the way to go. Won't chemically react with the foam, good up to 150F temperature, water resistant. Also great for emergency repairs to pants, packs, and other stuff.

The Flex groups recommended this to me as well. I used it for a couple frames last year with good results. just tape over the surfaces you dont want to be sticky of course.

Seconded on E-6000. Easy to clean up on hard surfaces. I use it on hat patches mainly.

Co-sign E6000 ... it is what Empire told me to use when I was replacing JT mask foam, and it cleans up really easily, as well

Test the glue on a small area of foam before applying it all over. I say this because years ago I melted the foam on one of my older masks. I don't recall what the glue was. If I really knew. I was in a hurry. It was the night before a game. It was something I had in the shop. Sprayed and 3,2,1 melt. That did not make for a good day.

My current events I've used rubber cement. I know that the foam kit I bought had come with rubber cement so I continued using that.

E6000 if you need it done right, or just have a lot of them to do (i.e. field rental repair). In a pinch, rubber cement works well - just make sure to coat both surfaces before putting them together.
