Ok I know this is Empire but what kind of hopper is it? I’m trying to figure it out, maybe find a manual. It’s weird because it sounds like the speed varies when it runs.

That is a Z2. They are sound activated. The Z2 just turn it on and it should work. It has a really intelligent board and will limit the torque it applies to the paint stack on its own. The original prophecy had a dumber board but a cool magnetic clutch system that you could mechanically tune to be more or less gentle.
Both the original prophecy and the Z2 are super excellent hoppers. Not as easy to take apart as the rotor and the virtue but they are way faster than the virtue and less prone to jams than the rotor, so kinda fit in there with the top 3 very well.
The z2 is the current model.
Look in the front of your forward cone (on the inside) if there is a ridge in there you have a later model shell that added the ridge to prevent paintballs from kinda wedging in the front of the hopper.
They also made fat 260 ball shells for them, which gave them the same profile as the original prophecy.
Basically just throw it on and it should work for you unless it is damaged.
