So firstly I wanted to thank a friend (good lord I can't recall his user name) but Josh- local friend that reached out and asked if I did leather still. I don't, but got me thinking (and dreaming) of playing again...
So if anyone doesn't know- I was the person formerly known as Butch. Pistol/pump wielding, leather maker that lives a pretty crazy life.
So before I go into "new wtf life stuff" I wanted to ask: hats new in paintball? Last I knew tpx's we're temperamental, and first strike was more a novelty than anything. I'd love to be caught up a bit. Especially on mask tech. Yes, I'm researching to quite possibly regear and play.
So life craziness- as many know I transitioned around 7 years ago. Couple surgeries, legal, etc etc.
Since last update years ago, I'm now married- though that's kinda taken a side road. Did the poly thing, wife found a guy (she's not as queer as she thought) and they're happy. I HAVE A DAUGHTER- not biologically, I can't. But legally she's my wife's and mine. Her name is Scarlet Gail, and she's absolutely aborable- we roar at each other. π€ And the LOVES when I play my instrument (s) for her. Her favorite song is baby shark.
I started a job working at a violin company, dated a fiddler and got thoroughly entrenched into the Irish music scene. I'm now one of the better fire breather performers in Michigan with part of my stunt team. Ended stuff with fiddler, though they gave me a love for music. I learned how to play mandolins- and have become quite adept at working on them.
Still working at the same place (Shar music) and now working with the "big dogs" of the company. Bought my most recent mandolins- a brand new, Michigan made Northfield. I'm officially Wakefire's band technician, and several other bands have me on call. Bought a motorcycle and had to rebuild motor (COVID time) and KPCS was kind enough to assist with that (speaking of which, I don't recall if I ever sent a proper thank you)
Dating an amazing gal, she goes by Cat. She's a mom, spunky, snarky, and keeps me on my toes. She has 2 kids as well, an 8 hear old that's convinced I'm the coolest person ever, and a 3 year old that is incredibly happy (special needs but damn is he doing well). Honestly, there's a damn good chance she'd go out on paintball adventures with me...
STarted my own project/company, so that's cool.
In and out of depression. Lost my doggo in the early fall- had her for 13 years, she was the most consistent thing in my life.
A few family members passed right after Xmas this past year.
βββββIn and out of depression/mental health bs. And I think, maybe it's time to return to paintball. Could, y'all school me on what's changed? I'd greatly appreciate it (and happy to answer questions on any of this- I know it's kinda wild).

Good to hear things are going as smooth as they can, depression is crap but life is like that. Polly life is fun, my wife enjoys it and I have a few more friends to play video games with on occasion lol.
