Well...guess there goes more money out of the months budget. my wrists and fingers have been aching and crackling from all the repetitive motion. If this works If it does what it says then...

I still like the old Yankee Screwdrivers. For driving a couple screws they are hard to beat.
Garrett Wade sells a newer version here. I actually got my mom one of these for christmas one year and she loves it. She has arthritis in her hands and wrist and turning a normal driver doesn't work so well.

As a guy who does a lot with bearings... full ceramic is never the answer. Hybrid ceramic with 440 races (or Chronidur if you're feeling rich!) but you never go full ceramic if there's a single chance it's gonna get dropped.
I bet they bought the bearings off VXB. Cheap Chinese junk.
Oh, and I bought a tool box off a guy recently, and he included a mess of random tools. Nothing to write home about, but...
I picked up this Craftsman 4v Cordless Screwdriver from Lowes that is on sale for the Holidays. It is item number CMCF604.Become a Supporterwww.patreon.com/r...
It's awesome. Especially for things like wall covers on outlets, where you don't want a drill but don't need much torque.

Like nearly all kickstarter projects:
Stylist video.... that does not show the product actually being used. I've watched the video a few times, and never anywhere do they show the product actually screwing the screw down... full length.
Cleary it is either: a non functional prototype..... or simply does not work as advertised....

I think I'm going to get one...
I like supporting start-ups, for one.
And, it's a screwdriver, it doesn't need to be made out of aerospace uber-alloy, with a Made in America/Sourced in America certification like the crap the government wastes their money on. I have worked in the industry, filled out the cert's... same product goes out the door, cert or no cert, all the same crap. Is it metal? Is it machined instead of casted? Then it's probably good enough for the duties associated with a screwdriver of that size.
Criticizing the palm handle bearing is fruitless and petty. The end of the handle spins. Cool. Once again, expecting space-age perpetual motion bearings is ridiculous. It's a screwdriver.
The video is a promotion, literally designed to highlight features... it's not a competition, nor an accusation that your current screwdriver is lacking these features... simply saying that this particular screwdriver has these particular features. If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.
