    Shipping Woes

Love when stuff is sitting in a distribution center less than an hour away, and scheduled delivery is a full 2 days away. Sometimes wish I could just go and pick some of this stuff up directly.

What all have you folks had the best luck with? USPS tends to be the most steady price wise, but delivery has been up and down. UPS seems to be pretty consistent. FedEx has been my least favorite so far, literally had a package sitting two hours away get sent halfway across the country for an extra 5 days and then come back.

Canada Post/USPS has always been great for me. I will never use UPS or any other international courier service if I can help it.

Same here. Whenever I order something from the U.S., it has to be USPS. Never had an issue with 30+ orders in 15+ years. I know that USPS and Canada Post have some sort of agreement, which greatly facilitates transactions. I'd say I had to pay fees and/or taxes (the latter being much more common) on only a few orders.

I hear now though that there are huge delays for anything that might ressemble a gun or a gun part if it goes through the Mississauga sorting facility. They'll inspect the parts to see if they could be adapted to create a real gun. They're unwilling to fix the mess they've created in cities like Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver, so we're the ones yet again that have to pay for it...

Good to know. The last markers I imported came in with UPS on a truck through Windsor.

They probably expedite any marker exports. Billy Blair probably holds a press conference in his basement for each export too.

That's when he's sober, which is a rather rare occurence.

Ordered 2 different parts last week. One came from alabama, other from florida, both shipped out USPS on monday morning, same method.

Part from alabama got here thursday, nice and early around 9:30am. Part from florida got here sometime saturday afternoon and didn't show up on time for Slim's event.

Part from florida had horrible updates. Sat in a center in FL for 2 days and NJ for quite a while too. When it got to Massachusetts, it hit the local DC before sunrise friday, had plenty of time to hit the local post office for delivery that day, but just sat there.

Both looked like gun parts. One from florida was a grip, the one from alabama was a grip frame. Only differences were shipping point of origin, and florida part was a gun part dealer, alabama part a private citizen.

So either florida sucks to ship USPS out of, or parts coming from gun dealers are being hyper analyzed, even if just a hogue monogrip.

Sounds like what some of my stuff has been going through, and this is coming from private citizens. Just updates bouncing all over. It'll get near me fast (live within 2 hrs of Chicago) but then it just meanders around SE Wisconsin for a few days.

Florida USPS sucks. I had a package go missing for 3 weeks in Florida. I had to call multiple locations and complain and it magically got delivered the following day..

I have had great luck with USPS it’s all I use. It may cost more but it gets there fast and I haven’t had a damaged package that I packed.

FedEx destroyed a car on my lot and denied it till I gave them security camera footage and paint chip code came back FedEx white. There shipping times are a joke and shit comes damaged all the time from them.

UPS loses packages all the time on me. They show delivered but end up sometimes weeks later. I purchased a Ring camera just for UPS insurance disputes.

I have had USPS deliver an empty box on my front porch before and smashed up flat rate boxes every once in awhile(this is why I over packaged pretty much everything) . I also had a package go missing in Florida for 3 weeks. UPS Ground is noticeably slower but always seems to make it safe and sound. I don't have a ton of experience with FedEx.
