Who had 'brain-eating amoeba in the water supply' for September?

I think there's one member here from the Houston area, which is only an hour north of this mess. I hope everyone down there is avoiding the chaos and getting what y'all need.

It amazes me that we have had issues providing safe water in various places for the past ~7 years (longer?). It's a shame that someone appointed the head of the EPA with someone who's entire career has been the reduction of gov't oversight and regulation; Andrew Wheeler. Anyone know where to get reliable statistics on these and other such incidents?

Nevermind the blatant incompetence regarding Flint, Michigan.

It's almost like politicians paid for by corporations don't have the best interests of the public in mind at all. Lol.

As for reliable statistics... the EPA is supposed to provide those, but I would trust their information as much as I trust everything else they do... which is to say, not at all.
If you need to talk, I will listen. Leave a message and I will call you back as soon as I get it.

I think it's been endemic in DC for quite a while now, but a less detectable form...

All joking aside, a suspected side- effect of Covid is a loosening in the blood-brain barrier. I wonder if the effect is compounded should the amoeba hit someone with Covid. That would be rough.
