    Ouch,

So I got in a bad wreak on Saturday.. I was on a 2 lane Highway starting a left turn (yes I looked ) and bamm. My 4 door F150 was airborne from a Toyota Camry and then hit again while in the air by another car... rolled 4-5 times. I dont remember much ,but I did look and thought I had time . I guess I didn't expect a car going 80 or 90, I am beyond being bruised up and can hardly move at all..No broken bones as per CT. Other people were injeard , non life threating ..My question is , how fast does a Toyota Camelry have to be going to pick up a 2003 full size 4 door V8 ford truck? Sorry about my spelling " pain meds make it worse than normal..

Got Lucky! Glad to see your Ok. Looked like a bad one.

Car was probably moving pretty good but low vs high center of gravity probably wouldn’t take much to launch a truck in the air. Especially if it hit you right in the side. All force to one side outside tires stick from the load and you flip.

Couple factors to look at concerning Laws of Physics,

In the first law, an object will not change its motion unless a force acts on it. In the second law, the force on an object is equal to its mass times its acceleration. In the third law, when two objects interact, they apply forces to each other of equal magnitude and opposite direction.

So a smaller vehicle, moving faster will always change the direction of a bigger vehicle somewhat.

The laws of physics determine that the force of impact increases with the square of the increase in speed. So, if you double the speed of a car, you increase its force of impact four times. If you triple the speed, the impact is nine times as great.

Sorry to hear about your truck and your injuries, and hope the other folks are going to be ok too.

              Hang in there buddy!

Yikes man, really sorry to hear it. Feel like I encounter people driving faster and faster every time I go out driving.

                Second the quick recovery.

I'm guilty of this. Mainly because I was an essential worker, so I drove 60 miles each way on a 4 lane highway with maybe 12 other cars the whole trip.. for almost a year. I kinda cuss as at all of the willy nillies back on the roadways now.

RAZRBAKK - average speed around here in the fast lane on the QEW seems to be around 130, with plenty trying to go faster.

Unless it's snowing, then 30 with hazards on. 😏

My guess is the Toyota went under you a bit and your back wheels just climbed up it and started the airborne rollover motion.

Holy hell!!! Glad you came out of that as unscathed as you did especially upon seeing the damage to the truck. Yeah, people do drive way too fast. I see it all the time on my trips to and from NH and VA now. I'll be doing 80 and have folks pass me as if I was standing still. Hope you get better quick!
