$4.25 in 1995/1996 and as a side note EVERY value meal was $2.99, $3.14 with tax. If you wanted to super size to a large (every meal was medium fries and drink) it was $.29 more.

It was half that for me. I do imagine petrol being more expensive in your neighborhood though.

$2.30 (Summer of '76) not that is what I worked for at the time. I did hand picking of grapes, potatoes and onion and that was work by the piece. I did not start getting paid by the hour until I was 13-14 and it was $2.90 at that point and I was making somewhere north of $4 an hour.

$4.10 working at a paintball field.
bonus was free co2 fills and finding the occasional tube of paint.

Bunch of youngsters here. I don't remember minimum wages because the local electrical union would not let me in when I asked back in '76. I had just gotten my electrical contractors license and you had to know someone, be related, or bribe someone. Toughed it out, became a very successful contractor and had the pleasure of telling a number of BA's my story and that were i to join their beeping union, I'd be taking a pay cut...and please get off my job before I call the police. (At least a couple of them agreed with me that back then you had to have pull to get in.) For what it's worth, before the license I was working for $3.00 an hour as a handyman.

                            I think I started around $6.50 /hr at Menards Hardware in 2003.

On weekends we got $2.50 more. Big money indeed!
