its entertaining. thats about it. i get it. like watching cartoons.
its less about the race and more about the race highlights (which i like because i generally find sports boring).
for a purist, it detracts from the actual racing.

Max even said in an interview that fighting between him and Lewis isn't what it looks like on the show. Daniel even pokes fun of Netflix on the show, during the show...

for a purist, i can see how its leading people away from the actual race and facing them towards the drama; which has been hyped up. i see the point there.
but man i do like the show.

The responses make sense - not for purists, just for entertainment, reason to get the wife/ gf to watch F1. If I can convince my wife it's interesting to watch a race, maybe some day I can get tickets (not from a supplier) to go back to COTA. So I like it.

Edit: so to bring this back on topic, OP needs to make shirts that fuel the D2S debate. Probably some real money there.

Interestingly it was not difficult at all to get the gf into NASCAR. We even drove down to Watkins Glen this year.
