Don't remember what year, but it was the salmon board. I had been part of the POG forum first in '99, I think I was on here before AO and that was in 2002.
I found it when looking for a paintball revolver, I had figured that they would exist. I just didn't know what I was getting into then I joined so I could buy one
I think I joined in late 2007. I joined PbN a little while earler that same year & I think I was asking about some old paintgun or mods or something & was told to check out MCB. I joined PbN, MCB & the BEOG all in that same year.
I joined all the paintball forums I could find back on the internet back in about 2006-8ish when I started playing paintball in highschool. Now it's one of the few remaining bastions. I'm gonna miss all the old info and PM's I had saved over the years.
I'm pretty sure I came here because the original site crash was mentioned on SCP and there was a thread about the "new" site, so I came over to take a look in 06 and stayed.
I started playing in 2000 with a group of high school friends. Started playing tournaments in 2002, got burned out on the scene by 2006 and quit playing. Stopped by capitalpaintball's shop one day in 2009 and talked shop for a while and got the bug back. Bought an ACI Maverick, joined their local outlaw group and got back my roots of playing. Once I started to collect guns again I hopped online - PBN was even shittier than it used to be, PBR wasn't around anymore and I didn't know anything else. Google led me to MCB and I had no clue wtf was going on, so naturally, I stayed.
Well I think I was on TechPB and I wanted a nice pump gun. I think I was looking for a Sanchez Machine. Wound up on MCB but didn't snag the gun I was after. Got a Orracle pump instead. Wound up playing Destiny with some of the fools from around here. Dukie (who I'd met in person once before at this point) decided to drag me down to Pennsylvania for a castle game so I got in a (near) strangers truck and went for a ride many hours away, across a border, to hang out with a bunch of crazies I'd never met.
Started playing in 1990 and kept on playing. Thankfully always been heavily interested in this game and never lost interest. Moved to Seattle in 95 or so for college and worked at KC Crusaders Paintball until moving back to the East. Fast forward to heading up to a game at Splatts home field with Slim and attending a BBQ there with guys I’ve played with for years. They said you need to check out MCB. I don’t know when that was but I’m still here. 30 years later and still love playing.
I'd been playing for ten years by then- 2007- but MCB was either linked to from another forum, or I was searching for tech info on my own- I believe it was the latter. I found the info I wanted, did some more poking around, and I thought "I should join and bother this new group of folks."
