Got me... I don't use facebook. I see that more and more though, where the first letter is capitalized and if you hit space twice, the period automatically shows up. It's like a car with brake assist on a hill. You no longer have to think about it.
Personally I don't like it. As someone who's done developing in the past, I get it, but I wouldn't allow it. Let people make mistakes so they can learn from it. Side note: I actually had to turn auto correct off on my phone since it was bothering me. I wasn't trying to type "duck"I am the admin...

That's the only assist I like in my Jeep, the hillstart assist. Especially since I end up sitting on a hill waiting for the light at the end of my street every time. It just holds the brakes until it detects that I'm moving forward.

I turned off the hill start assist on my car within a week of getting it. It made it almost impossible to smoothly start off from a stop because it was lagging behind me letting out the clutch such that I was fighting the brakes to go forward. the electronic nannies just get in the way

I've been noticing that autocorrect is not only not correcting things lately, but it completely ruins anything I type. Ai powered junk. It will not fix misspelled words, or it will replace perfectly spelled words for no reason. I had to turn it all off. It's the same reason I still drive a manual transmission, computers just don't know what I want.
Facebook and even Google are even worse, AI is monitoring everything as you type it out. We are giving them access to more information than you may realize, even just using Googles "G-board" to type things out. You ever wonder why you text a friend about "this cool new item you want to buy" and then you see more advertisements for that item? Google listens to what you say as well. Maybe not recording everything you say, but definitely listening for key words to generate more ads to shove in your face. The only way to escape all of it is to go off grid and never be around electronics again, but who's doing that?

Facebook is a proper noun (the name of the company / website) and should be capitalized because of that. Just like Chris, Planet Eclipse, or Egypt. The exception to that is if the name of the brand / person / product does not begin with a capitalized letter such as iPhone or names in some other languages like Dutch & German e.g. Mies van der Rohe. In the iPhone case Apple has stylized the product name and not using a capitalized i is correct. And oddly using iPhone at the beginning of a sentence without a capitalized i is also correct.
A proper noun is a specific (i.e., not generic) name for a particular person, place, or thing. Proper nouns are always capitalized in…
Pronouns are substitutions for a noun. He, She, It, We, They, etc.
You use pronouns every day. In fact, even if you don’t know what pronouns are, you use them—and in this sentence alone, we’ve now used…
That said - English is a bastard language that is a mishmash of at least a dozen other languages over time, which is a big part of why the rules are so weird and often stupid.

Ironically you mention photography. I haven’t used FB in…six years maybe. Maybe more. One thing I remember was it obliterating the quality of every photo I uploaded to it. Presumably it’s better now but I guarantee it’s worse than multiple alternatives.
