    Strongest glue or epoxy

What’s the strongest glue or epoxy that y’all know of? I have a non paintball project that requires some strength. Essentially glueing a wooded peg to a plastic piece that slides so the forces exerted on the glue/epoxy would want to shear the peg off again. Thanks for recommendations

pic added. As you can see one of the yellow tabs has broke off and you need both to squeeze together to unlock. I’d normally drill out the rivet and tap it but there might not be much material there so that’s why I’m looking to “glue” a handle on the remaining yellow piece.

I think a lot depends on surface prep and bond thickness, but acrylics and acrylates can be pretty strong. Superglue, rear view mirror adhesive, stuff like that. I have to look it up, but we use a good 2-part acrylic from Loctite for mounting accelerometers to machine tool spindles and steel mill chocks.

Not sure whether there will be shock loads, UV, humidity, oils, etc.

I read that mixing super glue with baking soda makes the bond stronger.

      I haven't tried this though.

Genuinely? Bakerlok. Don't let the description throw you- it's a "thread locking" compound all right, but the threads they're talking about are for oil well casings.

I heard about this stuff years ago from a shop that was using it to repair a cracked bulldozer diesel engine block.
