I used to, but we have since started budgeting with our funds as one account, then our account pays us an allowance. As a result we each get a fixed payment every two weeks from our joint account to our personal fun money accounts.
We can pretty much save up for or piss our money away on whatever we want without judgment as long as we got the funds.
It also leaves us the option to treat eachother to dinner, or gifts where as people with fully joint accounts lose that ability.
That being said it has taken the money equation out of our conflict list completely.

If she asks I am 100% honest, otherwise it's an "as long as we've met obligations[bills, savings, retirement, etc], do what you want" situation, and that goes both ways.Velcor will save us...

Don't ask don't tell... but if she asks, I tell.
Same with remodeling expenses (lumber, fixtures, and oh yea, TOOLS).Feedback

I don’t volunteer the info but I won’t lie to her if she asks. I pretty much buy what I want within reason.
Big purchases I always talk to her about like my gaming PC. She never gives me a hard time let’s me do what I want. But I never spend money I don’t have and we live within our means. So my spending habits are not really a concern.

TBH there was a period of time that I did so just out of ease and not wanting to hear the griping about spending what I have on this sport. Thank goodness we find ourselves in a position where I don't have to do that any more and I think it shocked her a bit to find out what manner of rabbit hole this can be. The aspect of it that pissed her off the most in respect to it was that I have a super bad habit of spending large amounts of monies on a marker I think is the one, the project and typically send it down the stream for FAR less than was invested getting it that way. She has pointed that out on my last two projects.
I redeemed myself to a great degree with several recent buy out bags.

Nope, I let her know. I keep a record of my purchases and sales and limit my spending to what I’ve earned through fixing and selling guns and gear. I don’ think she cares much now that it’s a self sustaining hobby. I bought some nice guns, upgraded my soft gear and it covers any new gear purchases.

No, it's just easier not to. I've bought most of my stuff used so it's pretty negligible in the grand scheme of this. I also don't question her on all of the electronics she buys like top of line phone every 12 months or camera/video gear as she's into photography.
We don't have set amounts of stuff to spend on hobbies. We have similar jobs and make almost the same money so everything just goes into same account and we spend what we want. No debt other than mortgage so luckily we don't have to sacrifice for our hobbies which makes it much easier to be open.
Having said that, when I was younger and really into modifying cars, I wasn't entirely honest about how much of my income I was spending on the car. Much more expensive hobby and I was making way less back then. When she did find out on some of it, she wasn't really happy. So I think it's situation dependent to some extent. We're not all saints.
