    MCB v1 Archive?

    Hello everyone,

I've been in a nostalgic mood lately, so I decided to take a look through the Internet Archive's saved pages of MCB v1 and I found my old profile. I wasn't able to find any of my old posts since the archived pages are pretty fragmentary. I know a lot of data was lost, but are there any other archives of the old site that are accessible? I would love to remember what my teenage self was up to back in the day haha

Sorry if this has been covered previously. I found some discussion on this topic, but no definitive answers. Thanks!

I'm working on reuploading a "read only" database. Well, I have everything, just need to do it.

        That would be awesome. Thanks

There is info in there but it's hard to navigate. It's often times incomplete too.

I was just recently looking at that, and it seems we could save off what is there with some effort. It would be incomplete and not super straightforward to do.

Yes, I've never blocked it so a lot of information is there. I just found the data for version .01 of mcb. Damn. I just need to rewrite the code to be read only. Will give me something to do. Why not right?

Before mcarterbrown, there was just a scatter of groups for those that like older guns. There was the "OGOG" old gun owners group. Maybe run by Rambo Preacher? And gun specific groups like vmempire, beog, pgog, automags, and pigchat. I think only automag online exists in an archive. Everything else is lost.

and before that, alt.sport.paintball and rec.sport.paintball was a pretty awesome archive in itself for info on anything from the 1990-2000. But then google bought up usenet, and basically shut it down and eliminated the search engine.

I think my first paintball-related website was the Spyder Owners Group (My second gun). This was followed by the Tippmann forums (my third gun because of the Flatline barrel), followed by the Underground Mod Shop, then SpecopsPB before here.
