You forgot to choose a marker since you're last one broke. I rolled for you before realizing that but the outcome doesn't really matter so I'm still writing the story. Just choose one for next time

I have a small mental funeral for my downed T15 and jiggle on back to cargo. I grab the only reliable choice - a Phantom slick with the juices of Casady.

Time to attack.

Broken marker in hand I head back to cargo, spend way too long over analyzing my choices. Finally I just close my eyes and grab. Oooh. An Ion- never used one of those. New marker in hand I'll run out feeling over confident and attack again.

Eventually each of them find their way to the lower decks and each find the crates that contain what can hopefully help them again. A new marker.

Or at least bits and pieces ... maybe enough to make a gun?
Digging deeper into the box, XM find some loose barrels, a few tool, a mismatched set of valves ... But there are still a few things missing ...
Digging in the next box, it's all electronics, not paintball parts. What the heck is it??? Wait, that's a 3D printer!
With a mix of dumbfounded excitement XM put together a Paintifyer 9000 ... Not as pretty as Doc's because it's held together with spit and duck tape, but it will do the job.
XM picks it up, shit this thing got heavy quick, and runs off the dock ... ATTACK!!!!

#12 Phantom, Attack!

I’m glad my trusty Phantom was decapitated on the irresponsibly sharp planning table and not myself.

I retrieve it’s brother from the cargo hold, another Phantom, and vow to not participate in another foursome. I’m here to kick ass and chew bubble gum, and I’m all out of bubble gum.

With my heart racing with pure adrenaline after the engagement with Myrkul, I slowly come to the realization that I can’t afford to stay on this ship any longer than necessary, that was too close of a call. I need to move now or risk becoming the walking dead or engaging with more hostile forces. So, I decide to work my way to the bridge to find a map. Maybe in there I can learn of where the last escape pod is located, so I can get off this ship once and for all. Or maybe I’ll raise the black flag and become a pirate captain and sail the seven seas with my zombie army and salty crew. We shall rename the ship the Brass Walz and become the terror… snapping out of my adrenaline crash daydream. I check my gear and head off once more into the maelstrom.

JD's desire to go for a hat-trick begins to be overwhelmed by his impulsive curiosity of what these keys could unlock.

His mind begins to wander as he explores the possibilities. “It could be anything…..maybe it unlocks One-Eyed Willy's rich stuff, or a cool custom marker. It could even be “the key to the greatest treasure in all the land”, better yet, maybe it unlocks a door letting me access the upper levels of the ship…I could be the first seaman on the poop deck”.

JD giggles like a 12 year old...

“…what if it unlocks a room full of zombies…”

He shudders at the thought. “No!” he says to himself. “Stick to the plan!”

He cautiously slinks off into the shadows as quietly as he can ready to…ATTACK!
