With all those kites flying, how do they not get tangled with each other?

Well, the lines are all at roughly the same angle going up to the kites because the wind is the same speed and direction for all the kites. Some provide a little more lift than others so there's a little variation in the angle but not a ton

Those kites are also massive, those geckos for example are probably 60 feet long each. There was a full size blue whale at one point and it wasn't even the largest thing in the sky. So there's a lot of space between each line it just doesn't look like it in the photo. Even viewing from the front or side it's a little deceiving but if you were in the middle of all the kites looking up it would be pretty clear

Temperature wasn't bad. It's super moderate on the coast. Night low of 60, day high of 65. Very very consistent. We bundled our girls up because the parking lot was line a half mile away so not really a good option to go back if they got cold. I was mainly in shorts and t shirt or maybe a light sweatshirt

Made a massive score tonight. $66 for a 6.5m power kite from a pretty good brand. New this kite was around $1000. Seller was clearing out a storage unit and the bridle lines were all tangled up. Took me all of an hour to untangle everything.

Down side is it came with handles instead of a bar. I like flying bars. Ironically to get a bar it's probably going to cost double what I paid for the kite. Even still, $200ish is a steal for something like this
