I got your point. I'll never rip you off because you'll destroy me. You'd have to, you're morally compelled, because money is real and so are obsolete caveman impulses from 100,000 years ago. I got it. I'm just severely unimpressed, I guess.

Back in the old MCB days I sent a member a barrel to freak. He disappeared with the old MCB and neither was ever was seen again. I've never mentioned this user by name. Did I err? Should I have started a thread here explaining it all, provided all possible identifying information, and raised a Hawaiian shirt-clad lynch mob to get my barrel back? I didn't. I wrote it off completely. In fact I'd be glad if I saw his username again here because it would mean he wasn't dead from COVID or fentanyl or suicide and that he wasn't shot to death in a parking lot trying to extract a pathetically small amount of money from someone who obviously doesn't have it.
Everyone has their own standards for when to take the loss, why are you judging other people based on your standards?

Don't screw people over and you have 0 chance of it coming back to bite you.

Do it, and you have a greater than 0 chance but you are rolling the dice on how much the other person cares and also what they are willing to do.

Should everyone who sent their marker in to East Coast Angel just have rolled over and taken the loss? Paintball as a whole is not a necessity in anyone's life after all.

As far as I know, ECA guy (forgot his name) has at this point gotten away with it. Thousands of dollars in markers he sold to curated. Yes it looks like most of it eventually got back to their rightful owners but are you ok with that outcome as it pertains to ECA guy? If I'm looking at what happened and see that there's basically no consequences but the possibility to make money, why should I not do something similar?
